HII Mission Technologies Division’s Propulsion Systems Team has a pending opening for a mid to senior-level systems engineer, with experience in aircraft propulsion system design. In this role, the candidate will directly support the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and provide system design, development, integration, test products, and subject matter expertise of a wide variety of aircraft engines for the US Air Force.

The candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total aircraft propulsion systems.

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, and supportability, effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Perform system analysis at all levels to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to speed innovation, increase operating efficiencies, and assist in development, integration, and certification of complex systems
