What we are looking for:

Yazaki is seeking a Sr. Data Architect/Scientist to join our IT Department team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, action-driven environment and enjoys making lasting impacts on the organization.

What you will be doing:

Support our Data Analytics team by analyzing and transforming data from multiple systems into our enterprise data layer.

Master complex data sets, identifying insights, outliers, and data errors to ensure accurate business intelligence.

Adapt business expertise to Yazaki operations to lead data projects from the functional side.

Transform inbound data into usable artifacts, assets, facts, and dimensions in a SQL-heavy environment.

Contribute to the transition of Synapse/SQL-based procedures into a Microsoft Fabric/Lakehouse environment.

Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement data-centric solutions that support both reporting and business processes.

Support projects and ensure system availability within the IT process framework.

What you will bring to the table:

University degree in IT, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong experience in IT projects, ideally in the automotive industry; alternatively, manufacturing, logistics, or engineering.

Business experience in logistics, supply chain, or planning (a strong plus).

Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

Hands‑on experience with SQL, Python/Spark, and Azure Data Factory.

Strong communication skills with a results‑oriented, proactive working style.

Willingness to travel (approx. 10%).
