Performance Engineer

Our Performance Engineer role rewards the hands-on habit of writing the test before you trust the feature, especially around Microsoft Azure. Think of it less as a job and more as a $65,000 - $98,000 bet Humana is placing on your 5 years and your judgment.

• Sketch the CI/CD architecture, defend it in review, then build the thing
• Walk technology stakeholders through Spring Boot tradeoffs in language Humana execs grasp
• Map data flow across Humana's Microsoft Azure services and spot the leaks
• Refine and maintain microservices that support Humana customers in Canton, OH
• Drive the Conflict Resolution incident postmortem that stops the Canton outage from recurring

• CI/CD fundamentals plus the Microsoft Azure polish clients notice
• The grit to debug at 4pm on a Friday without complaint
• Strong multitasking ability without sacrificing quality
• 5+ years owning outcomes, not just completing tasks
• Willingness to commute to Canton, OH or work flexibly as needed

Built in Canton and run on caffeine and conviction, Humana turns messy technology problems into clean, repeatable wins. We'd rather hear hard truths in the hallway than polite fictions

Joining Humana means $65,000 - $98,000, strong benefits, and a culture where senior engineers actively mentor newer talent.
