The Media Communications Coordinator supports company-wide branding, communication, and storytelling initiatives through the development and coordination of creative content, proposals, internal communications, and external communications. This role combines field engagement, creative direction, and brand management to ensure consistent, high‑quality representation of our projects, people, and culture across all platforms.
The ideal candidate is a driven, detail‑oriented communicator who is equally comfortable visiting job sites to capture content and developing polished written and digital materials in the office.
Company‑issued camera hardware is provided to support photo and video content capture.
Reports to:
Administrative Manager
- Serve as the primary point of contact for creative media and marketing requests from project teams and leadership.
- Maintain and enforce brand standards, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications, print materials, and digital content.
- Develop, refine, and manage on‑brand templates for resumes, project profiles, sell sheets, and company collateral.
- Review and approve all outgoing media content for quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand objectives.
- Support and guide creative direction across print, digital, and multimedia materials.
- Capture photo and video content personally from job sites, company events, and community engagement and coordinate with field teams to source additional material, ensuring all content is organized and ready for use.
- Lead storytelling efforts that highlight project milestones, employee achievements, and community impact.
- Develop and manage branded campaigns, recruitment videos, and community‑facing initiatives that enhance company visibility.
- Collaborate with project management and business development teams to develop compelling proposal narratives, project write‑ups, and interview presentations.
- Lead monthly social media team meetings to guide content planning, align messaging, and support consistent storytelling across platforms; distribute meeting notes and action items to the team afterward.
- Manage and grow company social media channels (Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), ensuring a consistent and professional voice.
- Oversee company website updates (Word Press), including project features, announcements, and recruitment postings.
- Prepare internal and external communications such as newsletters, Digging In feed, and Monday Notes and maintain the templates used to create them.
- Monitor analytics to optimize engagement and reach across platforms.
- Coordinate event promotion, sponsor ships, and trade show materials.
- Assist with high‑visibility creative initiatives, major proposals, and internal communications campaigns.
- Develop toolkits and templates to streamline workflows and maintain brand quality.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with marketing strategy and company culture.
- Travel periodically to project sites to capture meaningful photo and video content.
- Creative storyteller who understands how to highlight project and employee achievements.
- Strong writing, editing, and layout/design skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Familiarity with basic camera operation including exposure, lighting, composition, and general photography/videography fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Word Press, Adobe InDesign (or equivalent), and social media management platforms.
- Detail‑driven communicator committed to high standards of quality and brand consistency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive self‑starter with strong initiative and follow‑through.
- Comfortable working on construction sites and engaging with field personnel.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with both office and field teams.
