Registered Nurse (RN) - 3x12 Day Shift Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Embraces the values of the organization focusing on superior quality care, safety, teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.

• Complete nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, assessed through nursing processes.
• Initiate discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers.
• Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Assure personal and environmental safety according to policies.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested after the orientation period.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
