RN Ambulatory - Cardiac Rehab

The RN Ambulatory - Cardiac Rehab position at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital involves providing professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, focusing on helping patients maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle through lifestyle modifications and health education.

• Pay: $33.50 - $53.40/hour
• Location: Canton, OH

• Department/Unit: Cardiac Rehabilitation
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.

• One year of recent experience as an RN.
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
