As a Quality Systems Manager, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a robust, practical quality framework tailored for a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities- Design and deploy a comprehensive quality management system that streamlines shop-floor operations and enhances accountability.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve complex manufacturing challenges and prevent recurrence.
- Establish rigorous inspection protocols and quality gates to ensure high-precision output across fabrication and assembly.
- Manage nonconforming materials and product release processes to maintain strict adherence to engineering specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards into every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Develop actionable quality metrics to track performance trends and provide data-driven insights to senior management.
- Train and mentor staff on problem-solving methodologies to foster a company-wide culture of quality ownership.
- Proven experience in manufacturing quality leadership or systems development.
- Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and technical specifications.
- Strong expertise in root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead change on the plant floor.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, or heavy industrial machinery quality control.
- Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, or APQP methodologies.
- Experience in supplier quality management and incoming material inspection.
- Technical education or professional certifications in quality management or related engineering fields.
