Responsibilities:

Follow prep lists as written by managers.
Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes, BEO’s and/or as specified by the Chef. Check to ensure consistency of product.
Labeling and stocking all ingredients in storage areas so they can be organized and easily accessible.
Keep all refrigeration, storage and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with Health Department regulations.
Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition. Report issues to management.
Assist with plate of food for events, ensuring that finished plates are presentable.
Prepare food items for production in the work station. Read and use math skills to appropriately prepare items according to recipes. Requires stamina for standing & strength for lifting & moving products.
Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking recipes.
Help distribute food to various outlet locations from central kitchen by assisting with or driving golf cart, mid-size car or large van. Load varies, weather conditions vary. If required to drive, you will be asked to sign a driving agreement upon hire and be provided with some remedial training.

Requirements:

Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of basic kitchen skills.
Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc.
