Description:
The Part-Time Security Operations position supports a safe, secure, professional, and welcoming environment while assisting with afternoon and weekend facility operations and special events. The position requires visible security presence, active interior and exterior patrols, vendor and event support, professional communication, and timely reporting of concerns. This is a part-time position located in Canton, Ohio.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Work evenings, weekends or flexible hours to accommodate events and museum hours
• Remain in the Cultural Center building or on assigned Artsin Stark/Cultural Center property during scheduled work hours unless approved or assigned otherwise
• Remain clear of Civic Center operations and property unless specifically assigned by senior member of management
• Consistent and documented security rounds
• Visible presence throughout the facility and in Parking Lots during and after events
• Availability to assist visitors and staff to their vehicles in parking decks and lots
• Professional communication
• Initiative and situational awareness
• Timely reporting of concerns
• Assist with event operations and help maintain a clean environment throughout the campus
• Collaboration with Facilities, Operations, Events, Custodial Services, and Artsin Stark staff
• Appropriate follow-through on assigned responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facility Operations or senior member of management
• May include use of Artsin Stark Vehicles to perform duties on campus only

  High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate professionally in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and groups.
