Equipment Mechanic - Field

Overview

Equipment Mechanic - Field role at Altec with a sign-on bonus of $1500. This position supports essential industry work for utilities and telecom as part of an OEM network.

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Utilize technical support resources (operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, How Factory, etc.) in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
• Adhere to Altec safety practices and procedures
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship
• Provide accurate information on all required documents
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values
• All other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
• Physical ability to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent bending and kneeling
• High level of dexterity
• Ability to provide basic tools per Altec tool policy as needed
• Drive motor vehicles
• Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work overtime to support customers
• Advocate safety in all work activities

• Pay: $31-35/hr depending on experience and location
• Sign-on bonus: $1500 payable after 90 days
