Job Summary

• The Landscape Construction Laborer utilizes hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape construction duties.
• This role may require extensive travel, including overnight stays. Travel expenses are covered by the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manually excavate with shovel
• Hand tool use including wheelbarrow
• Load & unload materials
• Experience with planting, grading and sodding.

Education and Experience:

• Landscape Construction experience helpful, but not necessary.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to use manual hand tools such as shovels for extended period.
• Ability to move soil, equipment, and materials, dig holes, and plant trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
• Ability to load/unload semi trucks
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work in/on situations near direct automotive traffic.
• Ability to work near or about natural bodies of water.
• Ability to work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
• Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
