Accountant, Accounting & Finance, Financial Reporting

Entry level accountant. The primary responsibilities of this role are assisting the CFO and Controller in maintaining financial records including A/R and A/P, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting the accounting department’s daily operations. Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports and analysis, including balance sheets and income statements. Assist with other office duties as needed.

Position Type: Evaluation Hire

Pay: $22-$24

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8AM-4:30PM, Friday 8AM-4PM

• Preparation and posting of journal entries
• Prepare reconciliations for assigned accounts
• Assist in monthly close
• Interacts and communicates with team members and third parties in a cooperative, clear and professional manner in person, by email, and by telephone
• Act as backup for other positions in the department as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)
• 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting environment
• Working knowledge and application of GAAP
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications
• Experience with Quick Books highly preferred
• Ability to be flexible in responding to changing priorities, duties and/or requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; well organized and detail oriented; motivated self-starter and goal oriented
