Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. The Assistant Store Manager works with store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and supports asset protection, store promotion, and new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, jewelry, and more.
The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to convey the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Assistance may be required outside the building or in exterior areas; may be asked to work at multiple locations based on business needs.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed and vary by business needs.
- Computer literacy; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
