MAINTENANCE SENIOR TECHNICIAN (LICENSED HVAC) (FULL TIME)

• Location: TAMU W Texas - 2401 Russell Long Boulevard, Canyon, TX 79016. Opens at other locations within the school district.
• Schedule: Full‑time;
  Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Full and part‑time options may be available to meet scheduling needs.
• Requirement: Prior experience as a licensed HVAC technician and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment.
• Pay Range: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour.

Performs maintenance duties related to the facility's engineering and maintenance functions.

• Construct, finish, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Clean, lubricate, service, repair, or diagnose malfunctions of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, and specialty equipment.
• Lead a group of workers on a project.
• Teach maintenance skills to peers.
• Update work statuses, timing, and costs using company tech systems.
• Oversee fleet maintenance support, including welding, plumbing, electrical, and vehicle support.
• Review work of outside vendors and create punch lists.
• Determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs or projects.
• Read blueprints, specifications, and models to learn work layout; plan own work layout.
• Perform routine computations.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete tests and inspections.
• Respond to emergency problems and perform emergency repairs.
• Recommend modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems.
• Serve as a member of the facility’s emergency response team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Heading in one trade with an appropriate Journeyman’s license issued by the State (e.g., Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA refrigeration certification, Journeyman Plumber License, Carpentry, Welding, Steam and Pipe fitting, Masonry, or Electronic Instrumentation).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and models.
