Our facility in Cape Canaveral, FL has an immediate opportunity for an entry level 1 Manufacturing Support Team Member to join our mission in supporting the FBM Team as a lead for procurement activities, such as generating Purchase Requisition s, tracking procurement status, generating weekly reports for project health, identifying issues, and coordinating deliveries from other Lockheed Martin locations. In this role, you will communicate daily with Subcontracts, Design Engineering, and Project Management to work through supply chain challenges and will also provide opportunities for you to develop creative solutions to complex issues.

What will a typical day in this role involve?

• Support the procurement of required Category 2 material for support equipment
• Generate Purchase Requisition s and work closely with Subcontracts, Design Engineering, Quality Engineering and Project Engineering on the procurement of support equipment
• Interface daily with internal and external customers to communicate schedule impacts and propose corrective actions to applicable partners
• Serve as backup POC for the SE MRP planners and MBOM and Routing Creation

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

• Basic understanding of supply chain, inventory management, purchasing, or material planning concepts.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience maintaining accurate material and purchasing information.
• Experience analyzing data and identifying material shortages, requirements, and potential supply issues.
• Experience working with Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ability to learn and use SAP ERP systems for material planning and purchase requisition activities.
• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance

• Active security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs) and the ability to understand parent/child part relationships and material requirements.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing routings, including operations, work centers, sequencing, and standard processing times.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including part numbers, materials, and basic drawing specifications.
• Exposure to SAP, particularly MRP, material master data, network loads, and purchase requisition processes.
• Understanding of MRP concepts such as demand, safety stock, reorder…
