As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, assisting visitors, and documenting security-related activity. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with team members and guests, and help deter incidents through attentive access management.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and access credentials, manage visitor sign-in processes, and direct authorized individuals throughout the location.

+ Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

+ Document incidents, visitor activity, access-control concerns, and other security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
