Associate pastor:
North Fort Myers Presbyterian

The ministry duties of the associate pastor would include but not be limited to:

Generally:

• working along side the pastor and ruling elders
• shepherding the flock of God in this local body of Christ
• being an example to the flock in leading a godly Christian life

Specifically:

• sharing in the preaching ministry by preaching at least twice a month mostly on Sunday evenings
• leading worship on occasion
• fulfilling the role of a regular teacher in the adult Sunday school rotation
• organizing and facilitating small group Bible studies as the opportunities arise
• being involved in some counseling responsibilities
• engaging in some home or hospital visitation for members or regular attendees
• possibly organizing and being involved in an "RUF-style" youth ministry committed to grounding our young people in God’s word and the Westminster standards
• having some responsibilities involving leading a "new members class" or "inquirers class"
• helping in sharing teaching duties involving an officer training class

• Ordained or able to be ordained in the PCA
• Committed to the regulative principle of worship and a "means of grace" ministry

North Fort Myers Presbyterian Church is located in North Fort Myers, Florida and is part of the Presbyterian Church in America(PCA). NFMPC has a congregation of around 100 members and currently one active pastor handling both morning and evening services/ sermons every Lord’s day. We are looking for someone to help and complement our pastor in the ministry.
