Children of America is hiring a Lead Teacher at our Lee's Hill school in Spotsylvania. We're a nationally accredited preschool with 65+ locations across 18 states. You'll run your own classroom with our Mind and Body Matters curriculum, a supportive team and a clear path to leadership.

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

We serve children from 6 weeks to 12 years old across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care and Summer Camp programs.

• Lead daily classroom instruction using our Mind and Body Matters curriculum
• Carry out lesson plans that make learning engaging and fun
• Create a safe, structured and positive classroom
• Set age-appropriate expectations and support each child's development
• Comfort, encourage and connect with children through their big feelings
• Partner with parents through warm, professional communication
• Use our classroom app to document progress and share updates with families
• Guide and support the assistant teachers in your room

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR and First Aid certification
• You meet all Virginia licensing requirements
• Strong organization and sound judgment
• A knack for building relationships with kids, families and coworkers
• Patience, flexibility and a positive attitude, even on busy days

The hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 – $20.00. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, location and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
