Associate Director - Technical Operations, Quality & Regulatory (USA)

I am partnered with a growing clinical-stage Radiotherapy biotech that is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Facilities and Operations to lead the design, buildout, and launch of a first-of-its-kind clinical treatment facility in Southwest Florida.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure supporting next-generation radiotherapeutics, including a CLIA-certified lab, PET/CT imaging suite, GMP fill-finish suite, and direct patient care areas.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of a new integrated clinical site
• Oversee all infrastructure systems — HVAC, BMS, EMS, fire suppression, purified water, compressed air, etc.
• Serve as the point of contact for vendors, architects, permitting agencies, and regulatory authorities
• Ensure the facility is fully compliant with CLIA, FDA, NRC, OSHA, and local codes
• Develop SOPs, PMs, protocols, and quality systems in partnership with clinical and quality leaders
• Build and lead the facility operations team, including technical staff and external contractors
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading clinical or regulated facility buildouts, ideally in biotech, hospital, or advanced pharma environments
• Deep knowledge of building systems and utility infrastructure (boilers, chillers, AHUs, air handling, BMS/EMS)
• Experience writing URS documents, protocols, SOPs, and managing preventive maintenance programs
• Familiarity with CLIA lab operations; experience building or certifying a lab is strongly preferred
• Bonus: experience with radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, or PET/CT environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead and grow cross-functional teams — hands-on leadership required
• Strong knowledge of GMP, safety, compliance, and risk management
• Excellent communication, vendor negotiation, and problem-solving skills
