Join Lee Health as a Laboratory Assistant I to support the day-to-day operations of our Clinical Laboratory at Cape Coral Hospital.
Location: Cape Coral Hospital – 636 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33990
Department: Lab – Outreach Services
Work Type: Full Time
Shift: Shift 1 / 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (weekends required)
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.50 per hour
Job SummaryThe Clinical Laboratory Assistant I performs clinical and clerical duties to support the laboratory, including specimen verification and processing, phlebotomy, sample tracking, cancellation and crediting of tests, processing send‑out tests, handling phone reception, printing and distributing reports, operating office equipment, and basic computer skills in the Laboratory information system.
Job Requirements- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Phlebotomy experience required. Phlebotomy certification and/or formal training preferred.
- License: None required.
- Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, ability to multi‑task, problem solve, and work independently. Basic knowledge of computer, data entry, and retrieval.
