We are seeking a highly skilled soldering technician or operator with extensive experience in surface mount technology and the use of rework tools. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional soldering experience within a manufacturing setting. We prioritize candidates with a stable work history who possess the required technical background.

Core Responsibilities
  • Utilize microscopes to ensure precise component orientation and alignment, while conducting thorough post-reflow inspections and necessary touch-ups.
  • Ensure high production quality by identifying and correcting solder defects such as shorts, bridges, voids, or misaligned leads to maintain product integrity.
  • Leverage Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems to effectively distinguish between genuine solder issues and false alerts.
  • Interpret technical instructions and accurately recognize standard SMT components.
  • Contribute to team efficiency by maintaining productivity in a fast-paced setting, including availability for overtime when needed.
  • Support long-term operational focus by remaining seated for extended periods to complete detailed, repetitive tasks.
  • Operate specialized rework hardware, including BGA removal systems, hot plates, and hot air pencils.
  • Analyze boards using X-ray equipment to verify the quality of bottom-terminated components.
  • Assist in prototype development by soldering and securing jumper wires on redesigned circuit boards.
  • Maintain industry standards by holding a current or previously held IPC-610 certification.
  • Ensure compliance with quality benchmarks by holding a current or previously held IPC J-STD-001 certification.

This role is based at 3655 Tampa Rd, Oldsmar, FL, 34677, and is expected to last for 12 months with the potential for a permanent transition. Compensation is set between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour, with overtime pay available for hours exceeding 40 per week. The schedule follows a 4/10 shift pattern, specifically Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST.
