Unit Nurse Manager - Full-Time (RN or LPN)

We’re looking for an experienced Unit Nurse Manager to join Gulf Coast Village Skilled Nursing. This full‑time role offers a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment.

Monday‑Friday; third weekend on‑call rotation.

The Nurse Manager supervises daily nursing activities at the assigned station(s) and coordinates, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing services provided 24‑hour to each resident. The role also directs direct care staff assigned to the unit/household.

• Current RN or LPN licensure in the state of employment and current CPR certification
• RN or LPN with previous long‑term care experience
• Independent judgement and problem‑solving skills utilizing the nursing process
• Leadership ability and effective communication with staff, families, physicians/providers, surveyors, and outside agencies
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for long‑term care
• Ability to handle stressful situations and willingness to work flexible hours
• Understanding of antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention, infection control, and OSHA guidelines

• Direct and oversee nursing staff to ensure procedures are followed and reflect current policies and procedures of the facility; follow VOANS core clinical systems.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to assure medications and treatments are administered as ordered.
• Perform direct care related activities as needed.
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures pertaining to resident care.
• Perform daily rounds of the nursing unit to ensure all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards; perform QAPI rounds.
• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of the resident’s total regimen of care.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and implementation of the facility’s QAA/QAPI process.
• Complete and investigate accident/incident reports and assist with abuse/neglect reporting to specific agencies as needed.
