Registered Nurse - Surgery Center at Tyson Eye

Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 45 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in our Accredited Surgery Center in Cape Coral. The RN will serve as a patient advocate and ensure quality care is administered. This position reports to the ASC Manager.

Interested candidates are encouraged to take the Predictive Index assessment:

• Registered and must have a license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Maintain re-licensure requirements.
• One-year experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certified.

• Plans for patient care; oversees the Patient Care Technician.
• Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care.
• Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures.
• Makes post‑operative telephone calls.
• Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately; regulates and documents infusion.
• Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed.
• Establishes nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluates outcome.
• Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
