Schedule:
Week 1 – Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm, Week 2 – Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday (3pm-11pm), 40 hours per week.
Pay: $17.75–$19.50 per hour.

The primary purpose of the TMA is to administer prescribed medications and limited topical treatments to residents under direct supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse per state/federal regulations. Perform routine resident care duties delegated by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse per state/federal regulation, to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents. Maintains all required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
TMA reports any noted changes in the resident as they are noted. These services are in compliance with all state and federal regulations and policies and procedures by the facility.
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
- Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received.
- Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse or registered nurse in compliance with all state/federal requirements.
- Judgement and ability to know when to notify the licensed nurse.
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
- ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of the resident’s general status.
- Behavior charting per facility policy.
- Attend designated nursing meetings and in-services, as scheduled.
- Maintains medication and treatment supplies in designated areas.
- Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
- Oral meds; controlled substances as determined by the DON or RN in compliance with state/federal regulations.
