Position:
Full-Time Cook at Gulf Coast Village

Summary:
The Cook prepares food that meets hospitality and service standards for the community, adheres to quantity and deadline requirements, and can effectively manage food production in the absence of the Executive Chef.

• Prepare food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner.
• Determine food and supply needs and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
• Prepare all special dietary items as directed by the menus.
• Monitor all food items to ensure minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld; ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes. Taste and adjust as needed.
• Assist with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
• Have a general understanding of Healthcare Regulations.
• Follow all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

• Preferred Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in fine dining is preferred.
• Essentials: Able to prepare food items using standardized recipes; coordinate meal production with serving hours; accommodate dietary needs; monitor food quality and temperature; maintain documentation; understand healthcare regulations; comply with policies on food handling.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings (7am–3pm), evenings (10am–6:30pm), and weekends.
