Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED and an additional six (6) months of advanced study or technical training in electrical/electronic technology.
- Four (4) years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and the ability to obtain a Florida CDL "B" Driver's License within six (6) months of hire.
- Performs semi-skilled manual and limited technical work for installation and maintenance of City water, sewer and irrigation infrastructure, stormwater infrastructure and/or transportation infrastructure.
- Ensures the proper stocking and functioning of equipment and supplies in assigned city vehicle(s) and prepares work sites per daily work orders.
- Performs essential functions as part of a crew comprised of equipment operators and laborers, but may perform certain independent tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Performs maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation and repair of water/wastewater and irrigation lines, replacement of damaged valves and hydrants and installation of new structures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
