Position Summary

The Coordinator of Creative Media will be responsible for managing and creating high-quality digital content for the NCAA Division I Athletics Department. The successful candidate will have a passion for sports, be creative, organized, and able to work well under pressure. They will work as part of the department of Athletics staff to produce engaging video and photo content that showcases the department's programs, student-athletes, and events.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute creative video and photo content that support the goals of the department of Athletics
  • Plan, produce, and edit video content for social media, website, and other digital platforms, as well as in‑game video boards
  • Manage the department's social media channels, including creating and scheduling posts
  • Work closely with the department's marketing and strategic communications teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment
  • Collaborate with coaches, student‑athletes, and staff to create content that highlights individual achievements and promotes team success
  • Attend and cover department events, including games, practices, press conferences, and special events
  • Organize and archive all multimedia assets, including video footage, images, and audio
  • Manage departmental photography and videography equipment, including regular maintenance
  • Supervise and lead a team of creative media assistants and undergraduate interns to maximize Athletics program coverage and provide coaching and guidance for aspiring digital media professionals
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as multimedia production, communications, or marketing
  • Minimum one year experience working with creative video and photo, with experience in college sports a plus
  • Proficient in video and photo editing software
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel extensively with or without accommodations and work alternate work schedules including evenings, weekends, and some holiday hours, as required by event and practice schedules
  • Knowledge and understanding of sports and the ability to create content that resonates with sports fans
