Position SummaryThe department is seeking a full‑time non‑tenure‑track faculty to primarily teach undergraduate mechanical and machining classes in the Engineering Technology program.
Primary Responsibilities- Teaching a wide variety of mechanical, machining, and related engineering classes at undergraduate level, typically four courses per semester.
- Teaching, supporting, and developing, as necessary, undergraduate courses and laboratories in related areas of interest to the department.
- Supervising and mentoring a diverse body of undergraduate students.
- Providing service to the department, college, and university, including participation in recruitment and retention activities.
- MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or any master’s degree and 10 years of experience in machining and/or mechanical engineering (degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university).
- Ability to teach the following in areas such as (but not limited to): engineering mechanics, industrial materials, fluid power, machining, CAD/CAM, mechanical design, and industrial processes.
- Demonstrated relevant teaching and/or industrial experiences.
- Experience with hands‑on design projects and similar work.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the university community.
