Industrial Equipment Supervisor responsible for overseeing industrial equipment and associated lab facilities and providing training on this equipment in the Department of Engineering & Technology.

• Maintain and repair equipment and tools, working with others for service contracts or repairs that cannot be completed in house.
• Maintain records of equipment, including maintenance and inspection schedules, maintenance and operation instructions, and safety information.
• Make recommendations and otherwise assist with the purchase and installation of new equipment.
• Manage and maintain inventory supplies.
• Teach courses for the Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center's machine tool program.
• Train users in equipment operation and techniques, explain and demonstrate technology and equipment capabilities, limitations, and outcomes.
• Demonstrate safe operation of laboratory equipment and tools; conduct and organize workshops for students and faculty.
• Ensure faculty are properly trained in the safe and appropriate use of equipment and work with faculty to train their students.
• Report any unsafe working conditions and stop any activities that are unnecessarily hazardous.
• Conduct tours and demonstrations of the laboratory facilities.
• Maintain and update instruction videos for major equipment.
• Assist with other activities to support the program or department.

• High school diploma and national certifications associated with machine tools, such as Skill Point certifications in CNC programming.
• Candidate must be qualified to teach at a Career and Technology Center. A bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to teach hands‑on, laboratory courses in areas such as material testing, industrial processes, machining, CAD/CAM, casting/metallurgy, and the design and fabrication of mechanisms.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise laboratories and industrial machinery, including ensuring the safety of users, maintenance and repair of equipment, maintenance of records, and effective implementation of new equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the department and work with industries in the region.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
