Assistant Professor or Instructor – Engineering & Technology – Construction Management
Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, MO – full‑time faculty position in Construction Management and Design.
Primary Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate construction management courses.
- Conduct lab‑based activities and experiential learning, maintain course equipment and facilities.
- Support the construction management option of the technology management program.
- Maintain and advance the industrial advisory board associated with the program.
- Maintain and advance relationships with professionals in the construction management industry for program improvement and career placement.
- Advise and mentor students, provide leadership to student organizations.
- Provide service to department/college/university, including recruitment and retention activities.
- For Tenure‑Track consideration: Ph.D. in construction management, technology management, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- For Non‑Tenure‑Track consideration: Master’s degree in construction management, technology management, technology, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- High‑quality instruction using diverse delivery strategies (face‑to‑face, blended, online, lab‑based).
- Experience teaching hands‑on projects in a lab setting, using industry‑standard equipment and software.
- Demonstrated relevant industrial experience; academic experience, credentials, or professional certifications are a plus.
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal).
- Student‑oriented mindset, promoting the program, advising and mentoring students, helping with internships and career placement.
- Commitment to collegiality in the professional community.
