Position SummaryThe Department of Agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University is seeking an outstanding educator for a Regular Non‑Tenure Track (RNTT) position in horticulture. The successful candidate will teach courses primarily in horticulture and collaborate with area stakeholders to address knowledge gaps and community needs, building a reputable horticultural program.
Primary Responsibilities- Teach core horticulture courses.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Advise and mentor students regarding their academic progress.
- Engage in service activities, including recruitment and retention.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as appropriate.
- Earned MS in Horticulture or a directly related field (degree from a regionally or internationally accredited institution).
- Possess theoretical knowledge and practical experience in horticulture.
- Demonstrated commitment to student growth and achievement.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver highly effective horticulture teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate experiential learning activities.
- Demonstrated collegiality when interacting with the university community.
- Evidence of effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
