Surgical Technologist - OR (Days-FT-40
Hr/Wk)
Perform the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. Maintain accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinate the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Provide proof of education if requested.
Licensure: Non-licensed/certified candidates may be considered.
Experience: Non-24-Hour Opportunity locations:
Consider non-certified candidates with applicable surgical technologist experience. 24-Hour-Opportunity locations:
Consider non-experienced perioperative candidates.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Other: Must understand English both written and spoken. Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
Preferred Education: Successful completion of a Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
Preferred Licensure/Certification: Surgical Technology Certification preferred.
