Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level
- Acquire and demonstrate hands‑on knowledge of all ST&I production processes to coordinate the daily work of the ST&I team.
- Provide leadership on the floor to help production employees receive, warehouse, distribute, and produce products within Verdesian Operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and federal regulations regarding waste disposal.
- Conduct daily safety huddles and maintain safety standards.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of regulations for storage and management of hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records of safety procedures (lock‑out/tag‑out, confined space entry, etc.).
- Oversee the plant safety program to ensure employees operate safely and the plant environment is accessible and safe.
- Assure shift personnel follow all safety procedures at all times.
- Watch new personnel during onboarding to foster a positive safety culture.
- Maintain the ability to fulfill any production role in the ST&I area.
- Examine machinery to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Operate all equipment involved in dry and liquid ST&I operations.
- Store and stage materials in an orderly manner (Raw vs. WIP vs Finished).
- Maintain housekeeping practices at a high standard.
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine production requirements and evaluate estimates and outputs.
- Observe equipment operations, test machinery, and inspect parts for defects.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees or assign experienced workers for training.
- Maintain employee timecards, manage time off, and approve them each pay period.
- Review shift paperwork to record pertinent information and highlight production issues and material consumption.
- Work with management to ensure inventory supply meets demand.
- Provide project support for new product startups as assigned.
- Perform facilities maintenance duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Proficiency in all Verdesian products software and programs related to job functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be fit‑tested and don a mask.
- Proficient use of MS Office:
Word and Excel. - Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Maintain production quality.
- Observe Safe Food/Safe Feed criteria.
- Complete required production forms and recording.
- Perform basic maintenance as needed and assist maintenance as needed.
- High School or GED certification.
- Minimum leadership experience of 2–4 years full‑time in a production environment.
