Position Summary
The SOLVE Project Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, implementation, and support of SOLVE (Strengthening Our Local Voices to End Firearm Violence) initiatives. This role serves as the central point of contact for partners, youth leaders, and funders, ensuring that project activities align with community priorities and Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) requirements. The Coordinator supports community engagement efforts, oversees logistics for meetings and events, and helps maintain strong relationships across local and statewide partners.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute daily SOLVE project activities, including community events, listening sessions, workshops, and youth-focused programming
- Serve as a primary liaison with community partners, youth-serving organizations, city stakeholders, and funders
- Support the development and ongoing operation of the SOLVE Youth Advisory Council (YAC), including meeting coordination, stipends, and youth engagement support
- Plan and manage logistics for meetings, trainings, and events, including scheduling, space coordination, materials, and follow-up
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure activities stay on schedule
- Support reimbursement requests, documentation, and reporting in compliance with Missouri Foundation for Health requirements
- Participate in and help facilitate monthly virtual meetings with learning cohorts and MFH liaisons
- Coordinate travel and participation in cohort meetings, conferences, summits, and learning convenings related to gun violence prevention
- Assist with data collection, documentation, and reporting related to project outcomes and engagement
- Collaborate with CPSEMO staff to align SOLVE activities with broader community development and youth engagement efforts
- Experience in community engagement, project coordination, or nonprofit program support
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with youth and community partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable coordinating meetings, events, and logistics
- Willingness and ability to travel for meetings, conferences, and cohort gatherings
- Experience with grant‑funded projects
- Familiarity with violence prevention, youth development, or public health initiatives
- Experience working with cross‑sector partnerships, including nonprofits, schools, and local government
This position includes regular community‑based work and requires attendance at evening or weekend events as needed. Travel for cohort meetings, conferences, and statewide convenings is required.
