Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospice
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

We’re seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team and provide high-quality hospice services to patients in their homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by providing hands-on care, education, and emotional support to patients and families.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Deliver direct nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with the plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
- Monitor and report changes in the patient s condition and ensure timely communication with the RN and interdisciplinary team
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on self-care, medications, and symptom management
- Assist with daily living activities to promote patient comfort and independence
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and timely reporting of patient care and progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education
- Ensure safe, respectful, and compassionate care at all times
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state of employment
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (hospice, home health, or related preferred)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and in rural or home settings
- Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of end-of-life care
- Pre-employment drug screening is required, including testing for marijuana
