ResponsibilitiesMed Surg RNs provide bedside care for a diverse patient population and perform individualized patient assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
The role includes preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications, responding to adverse symptoms with appropriate actions, changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs as needed.
Qualifications And Skills- Registered Nurse license
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
- Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
- Competence in basic nursing procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts
