We are looking for an Electromechanical Technician to manage the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical hardware and systems in our manufacturing plant. Your role will center on maximizing equipment uptime through proactive maintenance, detailed data analysis, and rapid troubleshooting. By utilizing our CMMS platform and collaborating with the broader team on reliability initiatives, you will help us maintain high standards for safety, quality, and operational performance.
A prominent plastics producer in Cape Girardeau, MO, is looking to add a skilled Electromechanical Technician to their expanding staff, dedicated to delivering eco-friendly solutions for both our clients and the planet.
Schedule:
Openings for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Set up, service, and fix electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including power equipment and wiring.
- Utilize specialized testing instruments to pinpoint and resolve malfunctions within electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform regular checks and preventative maintenance to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
- Swap out faulty electrical parts like switches, fuses, and wiring.
- Review technical manuals and schematics to ensure all tasks comply with current electrical regulations.
- Manage work orders and inventory parts through the CMMS to help improve overall maintenance documentation accuracy.
- Operate and care for various power and hand tools, including diagnostic machinery, to ensure efficient task completion.
- Must have finished a recognized electrical maintenance apprenticeship or technical training program and hold a valid license.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing setting working with electrical systems ranging from 24
VDC to 480
VAC, specifically motors, PLCs, and power distribution. - Demonstrated ability to identify and fix electrical problems.
- Proven proficiency in handling electrical testing gear, power tools, and hand tools.
- Strong grasp of safety protocols and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check and drug screening.
- Must not have a history of violent offenses or drug-related convictions.
- Must be a US Citizen or hold PERM residency status.
