Financial/Cost Controller – Camps Bay, Cape Town Introduction

A prestigious luxury hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town is seeking a highly skilled Financial/Cost Controller to join its hospitality team. • Lead the full financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and statutory requirements.

• Monitor food, beverage, and operational costs across departments.
• Conduct regular stock takes and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Oversee procurement, supplier negotiations, and inventory management.

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll support.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate revenue capture and billing processes.
• Support revenue management with forecasting and yield analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and expenditure visibility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel finance or cost control (luxury/boutique environment preferred).
• Proficiency in Sage, Opera PMS, POS systems, and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality cost structures, procurement, and inventory cycles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Salary: R 15 000 – R 18 000 pm DOE
