SA that is currently registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)?

Our client, a well-established financial advisory firm based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Accountant (CA)
SA
to join their team. The company provides comprehensive financial, tax, trust, and advisory services, with a strong focus on wealth structuring and management for high-net-worth clients.

Location: Cape Town City Centre

ESSENTIAL: 3+ years’ experience as a practicing Accountant (CA)
SA

ESSENTIAL: Candidate needs to a registered Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

ESSENTIAL: Accounting qualification including Articles done in South Africa.

ESSENTIAL: Experienced in working on a variety of Accounting Software.

ADVANTAGEOUS: Experience working with high-net-worth clients

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review annual financial statements, management accounts, and consolidated reports in accordance with IFRS and South African regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee all tax compliance matters, including income tax, VAT, provisional tax, and capital gains tax returns.
  • Provide expert tax planning and advisory services to optimise clients’ tax positions.
  • Conduct financial audits and ensure full compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Manage trust administration, including trust accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Handle estate planning and estate duty calculations for high-net-worth clients.
  • Oversee accounting functions such as payroll, VAT reconciliations, and statutory returns.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering proactive financial and business advisory support
  • Review internal controls and provide recommendations to improve financial processes and profitability.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and trainees.
  • Liaise with SARS, CIPC, and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
