ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
CAPE TOWN, CBD
R18 000 CTC PER MONTH
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts payable or accounts assistant role
- Experience in a high-volume processing environment is essential
- Strong Excel proficiency required.
- Experience with Sage Evolution 200 (advantageous)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience maintaining PAYE records or similar registers (advantageous)
- Process high volumes of creditor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Prepare, capture, and reconcile supplier accounts
- Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
- Perform creditor reconciliations and resolve queries timeously
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support the upkeep of freelance PAYE registers and related documentation
- Assist with general accounts administration as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/SLOOKUP, basic formulas, data sorting/filtering)
- Experience with Sage Evolution / Sage 200 is a strong advantage
- High accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
