Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Accountant position available in Claremont, Cape Town.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function for the company and its clients using Pastel and Xero.
• Process monthly financial transactions, including bank reconciliations, foreign currency transactions, and maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and budget vs actual reports.
• Process monthly payroll, PAYE, VAT, and other statutory submissions, including EMP
  501 reconciliations, Workmen’s Compensation, and dividend declarations.
• Maintain audit files and ensure accurate financial records while supporting compliance with statutory and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting with SAIPA registration.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using Pastel and Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of management accounting, payroll, VAT, and statutory submissions.
• Experience processing foreign currency transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, accurate, and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to build a long-term career within the organisation.
