About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Audit Manager to lead their internal audit function based in Cape Town . This role is instrumental in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organization. You will be responsible for planning and executing audit engagements, reporting findings to senior management, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned auditor to take on a leadership position in a vibrant Cape Town setting, contributing significantly to the company's assurance framework and driving best practices.
- Develop and execute comprehensive annual audit plans based on risk assessments.
- Lead and supervise audit teams in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Review audit work papers and reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and action plans to management and the audit committee.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure remediation.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in auditing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Auditing;
Professional certification such as CA(SA), CIA, or CISA is mandatory. - A minimum of 7 years of experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards , risk management frameworks, and internal control principles.
- Experience with data analytics tools and techniques for audit purposes.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
