Tax Manager

Our client, a well-established accounting and tax firm based in Bellville, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented tax professional to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, manage tax compliance requirements and work alongside a dedicated team in delivering quality tax services. The ideal candidate will have strong SARS eFiling experience, be proficient in Great Soft and preferably be a registered tax practitioner with completed Articles.

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparing and submitting tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Responding to SARS queries, including verifications and related correspondence.
• Ensuring all tax submissions and compliance matters for the client portfolio are kept up to date.
• Managing client matters on SARS eFiling.
• Billing clients for tax services rendered.
• Assisting with general tax compliance matters as they arise.
• Working closely with the team responsible for each client portfolio to ensure efficient and accurate tax service delivery.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Taxation or a related field.
• Preferably completed Articles.
• Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT) preferred.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience working on SARS eFiling.
• Previous experience working on Great Soft is essential.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and SARS processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and meet deadlines.
• Experience with BSharp will be advantageous.
