Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Lead financial reporting and fund accounting activities across a multi-jurisdictional private equity platform.

Our client is a specialist investment firm focused on sustainable investments across Africa and is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant based in Cape Town. The role will support financial management and reporting across group entities and private equity funds, working closely with investment professionals, fund administrators, auditors, and investors.

• Prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements and management reports.
• Support investor, regulatory, and audit reporting requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and governance across group and fund structures.
• Support fund accounting, including capital events, cash flow management, and treasury.
• Coordinate tax, legal, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with investment and operational teams on financial and fund-related matters.
• Support finance systems improvements, process optimisation, and reporting best practices.

• CA(SA) qualification with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience with in fund management or fund administration.
• Strong IFRS financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience managing audits and working with external stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial systems skills.
• Private equity fund experience and exposure to investor reporting/fund accounting preferred.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional structures advantageous.
