About the Company
A well-established and growing organisation based in Century City, Cape Town, is seeking a talented and commercially minded Senior Accountant CA(SA) to join its finance team.
About the RoleThis opportunity is ideally suited to a CA(SA) with 2+ years of post-articles experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Experience with in the Agricultural, Agri-processing, Import & Export, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or FMCG sectors will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Prepare annual financial statements and oversee month-end reporting processes
- Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful business insights
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and statutory requirements
- Liaise with external auditors and manage year-end audit processes
- Oversee VAT, tax, and regulatory submissions
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
- Partner with operational teams to support business performance
- Drive process improvements and finance-related projects
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 2+ years' post-articles experience
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- ERP system experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Agriculture or Agri-processing
- Import & Export operations
- Foreign currency transactions
- Supply Chain and Logistics
- Manufacturing or FMCG environments
- Commercially astute finance professional
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Hands-on and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
