Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment? We are looking for a detail-driven Client Accountant to manage aportfolio of clients and deliver accurate, high-quality accounting services.
THE OPPORTUNITYThis role isideal for someone who is highly organised, comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and committed to accuracy, professionalism and exceptional client service. You will also have the opportunity to review junior team members’ workand contribute to maintaining high operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Process bank reconciliations,petty cash and journals, and prepare accounting files through to Trial Balance.
- Prepare VAT reports and reconciliations.
- Assist clients with creditorpayments and maintain accurate Aged Payables and Receivables.
- Handle payroll administration.
- Assist with cash flow management and budgeting.
- Prepare and file statutoryreturns.
- Build and maintain strong,professional client relationships.
- Prepare management accounts.
- Prepare and manage inventoryreconciliations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years’ experience in afinancial services environment as a Client Accountant, ideally in a high-volumerole.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of high-level bookkeeping and accounting.
- A Commerce or Financial degree from a reputable tertiary institution is advantageous.
- Professional Accountantdesignation is advantageous.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills,including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Xero is advantageous.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent planning,organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Results-oriented and able topersevere under pressure.
- Client-focused, approachable and committed to understanding client needs.
- High integrity and discretionwhen handling sensitive information.
