Junior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, support month-end processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the business. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career in a dynamic business environment.

Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist with capturing and maintaining accurate financial records. Reconcile bank, creditor, and debtor accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures. Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and supporting documentation. Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.

Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and supporting documents. Assist with audit preparation and provide requested information when required. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner. Perform general finance and administrative duties as required.

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1 to 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance-related role (advantageous). Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with accounting software will be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting profession.
