SENIOR BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial function of an established company.
Key Responsibilities

• Full bookkeeping function, including cashbooks, bank reconciliations, General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Debtors & Creditors: invoicing, payments, reconciliations, age analysis and queries
• Stock & Assets: GRVs, stock counts and reconciliations
• Prepare and process local and international supplier payments
• VAT, SARS, PAYE and UIF requirements
• Pastel Payroll for approximately 90–100 employees, including overtime, commissions, reports and SARS payments
• Month‑end reconciliations and financial reporting
• Assist with audits and year‑end requirements
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies

Requirements

• 5–10 years' relevant experience
  , preferably in an SME environment
• Strong experience in debtors, creditors, cashbooks and reconciliations
• Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and SARS
• Proficient in Pastel Evolution, Pastel Payroll and MS Excel
• Excellent accuracy, organization and attention to detail
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
