Junior Accountant

Our clientisseeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, and support the group accountant in maintaining the monthly accounts.

• Capture and process financial transactions (invoices, bank statements)
• Perform bank and supplier reconciliations
• Assist with monthly bookkeeping and ledger maintenance
• Prepare VAT returns
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Cashflow analysis and forward planning
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Administrative duties

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Quick Books)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills

• Understanding of VAT
