Workplace & Facilities Coordinator required in Cape Town.
Do you have a hands-on approach and the ability to coordinate multiple workplace requirements effectively? Our client in Cape Town is looking for a Workplace & Facilities Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day functionality, presentation and support of their office environments across two Cape Town locations.
This role requires managing a variety of responsibilities across facilities, suppliers, office administration, maintenance, security and employee support.
Own reliable transport and a valid South African driver’s licence are essential.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate or an equivalent qualification
- Diploma in Office Administration, Facilities Management or a related field will be advantageous
- 2–3 Years’ experience in an office operations, facilities or workplace coordination role
- Valid driver’s licence with own reliable vehicle and mobile phone essential
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams
- Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask and work across multiple office locations
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive and service-oriented approach
Ability to build positive relationships with suppliers, service providers and internal teams
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular office inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety and workplace readiness
- Maintain organised office records and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all office locations
- Coordinate cleaning services, office supplies, kitchen and beverage stations, and stock replenishment
- Log, track and follow up on maintenance requests while liaising with contractors and service providers
- Ensure first aid kits, health and safety notices, and emergency procedures are up to date and compliant
- Process invoices, maintain expense records and update tracking spreadsheets accurately
- Coordinate meeting rooms, office events and provide basic office-related IT support where required
- Support office security, access control and employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Serve as the primary contact for office operations queries while handling sensitive information with discretion
